Make an Impact with NDTA

NDTA is a non-political, non-profit educational association founded in 1944. We work to benefit national security and defense through knowledge sharing in logistics, transportation and passenger travel services. For more than 70 years, we have provided a trusted environment – that does not otherwise exist – for government, military and private sector experts to build working relationships and develop the next generation of professionals.

Who We Are

Since World War II, the NDTA has served national defense and homeland security as a trusted environment for government, the military and the private sector to address pressing challenges in logistics, transportation, and passenger travel services. We are a non-political, non-profit educational organization dedicated to facilitating strong working relationships, education, and the exchange of ideas.

Chapter President

Jared Andrews (LMI)

Jared is a senior manager at LMI, a not-for-profit government consulting firm, where he is responsible for several projects and clients in LMI's Deployment and Distribution service line.  He has supported numerous DoD transportation programs and initiatives in support of the Office of Secretary of Defense, United States Transportation Command, Joint Staff, the Military Services, and others. He has also supported the NYC Office of Emergency Management and the United States Postal Service on various initiatives.

He has been a member of the DC Chapter board since 2014.  The networking opportunities, learning forums (like the monthly luncheons), and the opportunity to give back (like the mentor/protégé program) drew Jared to the Chapter.

First Vice President

Jeffrey Brown

Jeffrey is a senior acquisition analyst at J.F. Taylor, Inc., a privately owned Department of Defense support contractor supporting the AirWorks initiative.   AirWorks is a revolutionary program at Navy Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) that relies heavily on “in-house” engineering, management, and manufacturing to address issues and special needs often with great saving to the government (time and money).

He has been a member of the NDTA DC Chapter since 2012, joining while still on active duty as a Navy Supply Corps Officer.  What drew Jeffrey to the Chapter?  He notes that "the speakers at the national meetings, Chapter luncheons, or Mentor Protégé’ sessions have been phenomenal.  Additionally the ability to be able to network and do things with great people moved me to joining NDTA."
